AMCEL to implement Savcor`s Forestry Inventory System
As a part of its plan for continuous improvement of forestry planning and competitiveness, AMCEL has awarded Savcor to implement the New Zenith Forest Inventory System, after intensive market analysis.
With this acquisition, AMCEL will use the most modern technology and state-of-the-art solution for forest management and inventory processing, including the use of the system’s native statistical tool. The solution also consolidates the improvements for the production chain management used by AMCEL through an Integrated Management System.
According to Isaac Bando, Planning and IT Manager at AMCEL, the company chose Savcor’s inventory system due to the quality of the system and the operational security that the service team from Savcor provides.
AMCEL – Amapá Florestal e Celulose S.A. (a Brazilian company with 40 years of activity, controlled by Nippon Paper Group) is one of the main companies of eucalyptus management in Brazil. AMCEL’s forests, with a total area of almost 300,000 ha, are destined to the production of approximately 1 million tons of wood chips and biomass per year to the foreign market.
